MicroLaser Peel

The MicroLaser Peel is designed to precisely target the outer, damaged layers of skin cells, preserving healthy skin for minimal downtime. The MicroLaser peel can be used to treat some of the most common skin concerns and can be customized based on their severity.

Who Can Benefit from the MicroLaser Peel?

The MicroLaser peel can treat concerns below the skin’s surface that regular skin care products cannot. Candidates for the MicroLaser peel are those who experience signs of aging and visible skin damage with concerns such as:

  • Fine lines
  • Wrinkles
  • Sun spots
  • Freckles
  • Hyperpigmentation

The most common areas treated with the MicroLaser peel are the face and neck, however, the chest and hands can also be treated. Because each patient’s concerns are different, a custom treatment plan will be developed and may include a combination of treatments. One of our laser treatment professionals will meet with you during a consultation to determine if the MicroLaser peel is right for you.

How Does the MicroLaser Peel Work?

Prior to treatment with the MicroLaser peel, the skin will be cleansed and prepped and a numbing cream may be applied to the skin to maximize comfort. Eye protection will also be given before treatment. The laser handpiece will then be positioned over the treatment area and a commuter-guided scanner will indicate where laser light should be emitted and at which wavelength. The procedure can take about 15-30 minutes to complete depending on the size of the treatment area.

Recovery and Results

After treatment with the MicroLaser Peel, the skin may have a frosted appearance and you may notice some mild discomfort and redness in the days following. These side effects should resolve within 2-4 days and you can expect some mild peeling as the damaged skin cells are removed. Once peeling has occurred, you will notice smoother, healthier, and younger-looking skin underneath. This skin will be extra sensitive as it heals, so make sure you wear sun screen when outdoors.

Noticeable results can be expected after one treatment session with the MicroLaser peel, however, deeper concerns may require a second treatment. The results of the MicroLaser peel are long-lasting and can be maintained with a healthy skin care routine.
