The Procedure
Radiesse® is made up of a Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microsphere gel, replenishing lost volume in the hands. This filler stimulates the production of collagen in the body, meaning that benefits will continue over time. Radiesse® for the hands is a quick, in-office treatment. The filler will be injected using a small needle, adding plumpness to hollow or sunken areas of the back of the hand. Results are immediate and long-lasting; about a year or more.
The Recovery
Patients will see results directly following their treatment session. Some patients may experience bruising, redness, swelling, or itching in the injection sites, though these side-effects are usually mild. An icepack can be used to relieve any discomfort. There is no downtime associated with Radiesse® for the hands, so patients can return to their everyday activities shortly after.
