Neck Lift
What is a Neck Lift?
The Procedure
The procedures performed in our state-of-the-art accredited surgical facility in our Kirkland clinic. All surgeries in our clinic are considered “outpatient surgeries”, we avoid general anesthesia, preferring to give ‘twilight sleep’ and leaving the patient with the ability to breathe on their own. A neck lift removes excess sagging skin under your jawline and on your neck. The platysma muscle of your neck can be adjusted and tightened if it has begun to separate and sag. This two-layered approach to the neck ensures a longer-lasting correction. With advanced technology, incisions are very small and unnoticeable. The placement and size of the incision will be determined by Dr. Partington according to your goals. Through incisions, excess fat is removed and the muscles tightened. Whether your neck is affected by age, your genes, the pull of gravity, or the harsh effects of the sun and wind, neck lift surgery (Platysmaplasty) or other neck contouring and rejuvenation procedures may be options
The Recovery
Recovering from platysmaplasty can take up to two weeks yet patients often return to work after the first week. Dr. Partington will provide you with a list of medications and post-surgery precautions you should take. Strenuous activity should be avoided for a few weeks following the procedure. Bruising, redness, and swelling may occur and should reside within a few days.
